Edna’s Cherry Basket is finally finished! This pattern was inspired by a basket made by another talented local basket weaver named Edna. Eva experimented with this pattern by dying half of the spokes with black tea to make a subtle pattern on the bottom. This basket is on its way to a good friend and a new home.

I’m working on an extra-special basket today! This intricate design will take me twice as long to complete as one of our regular baskets, but it’s definitely worth it!

Yesterday was our first basket class since February 2020! We had a wonderful group, who made beautiful and colorful small Market Baskets. Their baskets will soon be used for Easter eggs and spring flowers! Thank you to @opendoorcoffeegenoa for hosting us in your beautiful coffee shop, and thank you to our delightful participants!

A quick look at yesterday’s basket weaving class at Open Door Coffee! Ten participants made unique and colorful small Market Baskets. We love to teach classes like this and share our artistry with others! We hope everyone had a wonderful time!
